Professor Choi to present Remembrance in Budapest

Assistant Professor Chanee Choi from the Department of Film and Digital Arts will be presenting her exhibition and live performance, Remembrance, at the Central European University Gallery in Budapest from November 4th to 8th. In this performance, Professor Choi uses brainwave biofeedback to interact with a cinematic game, bringing her Remembrance project to life.

Remembrance is a biofeedback-driven, gamified performance art piece where the artist confronts her own fear of inheriting early-onset Alzheimer’s, a condition her mother currently faces. Through real-time interaction with machine learning and EEG brain sensors, the project creates immersive, game-like animations that respond instantly, combining a surreal artistic vision with advanced technology.
