Four UNM alumni earn prestigious NMDIG grants for film projects

Four alumni from the University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts have been named recipients of the highly competitive 2026 New Mexico Documentary Incubator Grant. Selected from 60 applicants statewide, these emerging filmmakers will receive funding, mentorship, and production support to develop documentaries addressing some of New Mexico’s most pressing issues—including healthcare access, homelessness, environmental justice, and prison reform.
