Jaymes Thompson received his M.A. in Film, Television and New Media from San Diego State University and his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is best known for his work writing, producing and directing the cult horror feature film, The Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror. Jaymes served on the Graduate Selection Committee while attending San Diego State University and was a past recipient of the Harvey Milk/Tom Homann Scholarship. While attending the University of California, Los Angeles, his live, role-playing murder-mystery theatrical production, Murder at Shady Palms, was published by the U.C.L.A. Bruin Woods Association. Jaymes has also made several short films, including the award-winning Fruitcake and a successful Web-Series.

Jaymes also served as a special projects consultant at the Arts Branch for the Los Angeles Unified School District, a former creative director for the Onyx Theatre in Las Vegas and a past Associate Producer for OutFest Film Festival, San Diego. He has been interviewed and reviewed by The BBC, Fox News, TMZ, The Los Angeles and New York Times, Entertainment Weekly and Fangoria Magazine. Having made a firm commitment to Arts and Education, his goal as an instructor is to empower students as budding artists, and is dedicated to promoting diversity within the film and digital arts community, with an emphasis on bringing visibility to strong LGBTQ characters.
