Andrew Barrow
Andrew’s love of film and media began at the age of 5 when an RCA black and white television was placed in his bedroom. His earliest first filmic memory is of Zorro staring back at him and he has been enamored with the moving image ever since. Andrew is an Albuquerque native and a UNM Media Arts graduate. He later earned his MFA in Film from Ohio University.
Andrew’s films have screened in numerous film festivals across the country in both experimental and narrative forms. He has been a film educator for over fifteen years in both Ohio and New Mexico. Andrew’s film work centers primarily on drama influenced by politics, war and psychological experience. Andrew’s passion is teaching film and inspiring students to bring their ideas to life. He loves working with students through the technical process while exposing them to the ever evolving creative trends in cinema.
